to friendly Älvsbacka, situated in the middle of
the province Värmland in Sweden. An area of
unspoiled nature, deep forests, gushing rivers,
dark forest lakes and untamed wildlife. Do you

Älvsbacka is the ideal place for trail hiking,
swimming, canoeing, camping, horseback riding,
mountain bike riding and fishing. All easy
accessible, only 45 km:s from Karlstad. |
| We have three prepared hiking trails passing
through old troll forests, with magnificent views
and hidden dark forest lakes. Why not prepare your
own food at some of the pre-built fireplaces? Or
spend the night under the stars at one of the "vindskydd"
A "vindskydd" is a over-night shelter, an
open-air construction protecting you from
the wind and rain, with 4-6 sleeping places. Click

Are you interested in fishing? Big
Pike, pike-perch, perch and burbot are fish in
Älvsbacka waters. Or smaller fish like roach or
bream. Do you like bicycle riding? There is a plentitude of quiet forest roads, with virtually no traffic. Or, if you are into fitness, why not try the forest roads, up- and down the mountain on your mountain bike? There are excellent opportunities to do horseback riding in the area. The wildlife in the region is extensive. It is a natural habitat for elk, wolf, bear, lynx, beaver and a multitude of birds. We have a rich flora of beautiful and rare flowers and vegetation.
