to friendly Älvsbacka, situated in the middle of the
province Värmland in Sweden. An area of unspoiled nature,
deep forests, gushing rivers, dark forest lakes and untamed
wildlife. Do you
want to experience tranquility and closeness to nature, or prefers
more adventurous outdoor activities, You have come to the

place! Älvsbacka is the ideal place for trail hiking, swimming,
canoeing, camping, horseback riding, mountainbike riding and
fishing.
All easy accessible, only 45 km:s from Karlstad. Don't feel like
camping or spending the night under the stars? Not a problem!
We have a well equipped hostel right
by the lake Gräsmången, with a service range from
full board and lodging to Bed & Breakfast.

have three prepared
hiking trails passing through old troll forests, with magnificent
views and hidden dark forest lakes. Why not prepare your own food
at some of the pre-built fireplaces? Or spend the night under the
stars at one of the "vindskydd"
A "vindskydd" is a over-night shelter, an open-air construction
protecting you from the wind and rain, with 4-6 sleeping places.

you interested in fishing? Big Pike, pike-perch, perch and burbot
is fishes as enjoys in Älvsbacka waters. Or smaller fish like
roach, bream or why not test a put-and-take
water with salmon trout. More
info Do you like bicycle riding? There is a plentitude of quiet forest roads, with virtually no trafic. Or, if you are into fitness, why not try the forest roads, up- and down the mountain on your mountainbike? There are excellent opportunities to do horseback riding in the area. The wildlife in the region is extensive. It is a natural habitat for elk, wolf, bear, lynx, beaver and a multitude of birds. We have a rich flora of beautiful and rare flowers and vegetation.
